The Saturday afternoon Mount
Pulaski Fall Festival Parade kicked off with a dramatic
and beautiful display of our nation's colors. |
As the parade begins, the primary
objective is "GET CANDY!" This young man's strategy
involves waving and hollering to get attention. |
|
|
These young ladies think that the best strategy is keep
a watchful eye and move quickly.
|
And there is plenty to go around,
as this Mount Pulaski firefighter is just one of several
who manned a variety of floats tossing out sweet
goodies. |
|
|
This little cutie is collecting
smiles instead of candy. As she waves at the passers-by,
how can anyone resist smiling and waving back?
|
And speaking of cuteness, here is
Mount. Pulaski's Cutest Lil Farmer. Riding in the parade
beside him are Little Miss Mount Pulaski and Junior Miss
Mount Pulaski. |
|
|
And it's not a parade without a
marching band! Here the Mount Pulaski High School
Marching Band performs for the audience. |
PORTA High School from Petersburg
was also invited to join in the fun of the festival.
